Research

My research has three connected strands. A full list of my papers is also on Google Scholar and ORCID.

Distributional approximation and Stein’s method. Gaussian and non-Gaussian limit theorems, often with explicit rates of convergence, including Gaussian approximation for region-stabilizing functionals of point processes with long-range interactions [5], [6], [7], [14], Dickman approximation for weighted sums [2], [8], [15], Poisson process convergence [3], [4] and strong embeddings via Stein’s method [1].

Superconcentration, chaos and noise sensitivity. Variance bounds beyond the Poincaré inequality for Poisson functionals and their sensitivity to small perturbations of the underlying point process: superconcentration and chaos [11], and noise sensitivity in continuum percolation [13].

Applications to nonparametric and causal inference. Multivariate Gaussian approximation for random forest predictions [12], and Gaussian and bootstrap approximation for matching-based estimators of average treatment effects [9].
